Asad Rauf dubs spot-fixing allegations as 'baseless'
LAHORE: Pakistani umpire Asad Rauf has rejected spot-fixing allegations, dubbing them as 'baseless' on Sunday night, Geo news reported.
Speaking at a dinner hosted in an honour of newly elected members of Punjab Assembly Ghazali Butt and Chaudhry Shahbaz, Asad Rauf said that the spot-fixing allegations are unfounded, adding that if there is any evidence unavailable against him then it should be presented.
The Pakistani umpire said that he should be allowed to express his position. He further said that he would hold a press conference after getting permission from International Cricket Council (ICC).
