Pindi-Islamabad cellphone service suspended for 4 hrs
ISLAMABAD: The cellular service has been suspended from 10 A.M. to 2.00 P.M. i.e. for four hours today in the twin city of of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, Geo news reports.
Sources said that the decision to suspend the cellphone service was taken by the authorities as security measures on the arrival of Chinese premier in Pakistan.
Geo TV representative Asif Bhatti reported that the cellular service has started closing in some parts of Rawalpindi and Islamabad around 10 A.M.
Extraordinary arrangements have been made on the arrival of Chinese PM Li Keqiang in Islamabad, which included suspension of cellpones service, while the security of the city has been handed over to the Pakistan Army.
