Rajanpur: police made false claims to recover hostages
RAJANPUR: DPO Rahimyar Khan Sohail Zafar Chatha has claimed that eight policemen, who were kidnapped by a group of bandits from Kacha area of Rajanpur district, could not be recovered yet, Geo News reported.
Earlier on Monday morning, Punjab police had made a tall claim that they had finally managed to recover the eight policemen, after having successful negotiations with the perpetrators.
DPO said the policemen were still in dacoits' custody, however, negotiation were underway. He said top priority was the release of the hostatges.
The police are engaged in efforts in four different districts to recover the eight policemen who were abducted by chotu gang dacoits from the Kacha area.
According to sources, Chotu Mazari sought safe passage and the release of his family members. GEO TV
